tidewater_beekeepersThe Buy Tickets HereBeekeepers Guild of Southeast Virginia presents a three-day Short Course for Beginning Beekeepers with an emphasis on sustainable practices. The course will be held on three consecutive Saturday mornings, February 10, 17 & 24, 2018 at the Law Enforcement Training Academy (LETA) in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The course consists of lectures and hands-on demonstrations which fulfills the educational requirement of six (6) hours of classroom instruction in introductory beekeeping training for the qualified level of the Virginia Master Beekeeper Program

 

  First Saturday, February 10, 2018 (8 AM to 2 PM)beginning beekeeping class

Second Saturday, February 17, 2018 (8 AM to 2 PM)

Third Saturday, February 24, 2018 (8 AM to 2 PM)

  • Honey Bee Pests and Diseases - Integrated Pest Management
  • Honey Production and Other Hive Products 

Tuition: $55 includes MAAREC Beekeeping Basics, additional beekeeping publications, refreshments each day and a FREE Guild membership from February 24, 2018 to June 30, 2018.  $25 tuition available for additional students in the same household (one set of reference materials per household).  Minor children must be accompanied by a paying adult.

At traffic light, turn right onto Americus, and then a quick right into Integrity Way. Look for a red brick building with a sign reading "Virginia Beach Law Enforcement Training Academy".
