Ever wonder how beekeepers remove the honey from the honeycomb?

Join the Beekeepers Guild of Southeast Virginia as we extract honey on Saturday, July 8th from 1 to 5 PM at the Fraternal Order of Police located at 110 Kempsville Rd, Chesapeake, VA 23320.

We will open up for the public beginning at 1:00 PM with a demonstration of how the cells of honey are uncapped and then use both a manual and an electric honey extractor to remove the honey from the comb.

Join us to view the process which preserves the honeycomb for refilling by the bees and give it a try yourself.  Fun for the whole family!
