We need volunteers for the following Beekeepers Guild Events:

We are in booths 156, 157 & 158 Show Floor Plan

Enjoy a preview of spring in the middle of winter! Landscape companies build actual gardens inside the convention hall for the Expo.  Speakers, demonstrations, vendors and exhibitors are part of over 100 gardening attractions at this event.  Our guild will assemble an exhibit showcasing the mutually beneficial relationship between bees and plants.

The Expo is a major event for our guild due to the extended hours; it takes a lot of volunteers to keep our display staffed the entire time. We will be inside the show on the main floor so anybody assisting with the event will be able to enjoy all the Expo has to offer. If you can give just a few hours of your time during show hours, you’ll be rewarded with free admission!

Guild members may sell honey and hive products but you must let us know in advance what you are bringing to sell to ensure adequate table space. If you are selling products, please sign up to work in the sales area part of the day. All sales are through a common bank – you inventory what you have when you arrive and what you have when you leave; you are paid for your products sold out of the guild’s bank at the close of the show on Sunday.

The guild’s board of directors has set the price of honey at $10 per pound for extracted honey and $15 per pound for creamed honey to expedite cashiering:

Extracted Honey sizes and prices:

• 2-oz. weight container: $2
• 1/2-lb. or 8-oz. weight container (5.34 oz. fluid): $5
• 12-oz. weight container (1/2 pint fluid, 8 oz. fluid or 1 cup fluid):  $8
• 1-lb. weight container (10.67 oz. fluid): $10
• 1.5-lbs. or 24-oz. weight container (1 pint fluid, 16 oz. fluid or 2 cups fluid): $15

THANK YOU AGAIN FOR YOUR ASSISTANCE!

If we get enough volunteers, everybody can take a little time to enjoy the show!
